key-mon software package provides Utility to show live keyboard and mouse status, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install key-mon
key-mon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the key-mon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep key-mon *
You will get with key-mon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
